NSCAD University offers a range of programs for those wishing to pursue art studies during each of three semesters beginning in September, January and May. Applicants can submit their applications as one of the following applicant types:
Undergraduate Studies
Foundation/Foundation Transfer - For applicants who are high-school graduates or who have not studied visual arts at the post-secondary level for a full academic year.
Advanced Standing - For applicants who have taken at minimum the equivalent of NSCAD's Foundation Program.
Advanced Standing Art History (Non-Studio) - For applicants who are interested in completing a Bachelor of Art Major in Art History and have completed one year of Liberal Arts studies at another post-secondary institution.
Visiting - For applicants enrolled in a degree program at another institution who wish to take courses at NSCAD to transfer back to their home school.
Exchange - For students at a partner school who wish to study at NSCAD for a semester. This can also be called Mobility.
Non-Degree - Adult opportunities and applicants who wish to take courses for credit at NSCAD, but who do not wish to enrol fully in a degree program.
Pre-University Students - For Grade 11 students who wish to take a first-year course at NSCAD in the summer before they enter Grade 12.
