Visiting Students should submit their documentation several weeks prior to being permitted to register, as all applications must be reviewed and this may take some time.

TO APPLY:

STEP 1. JOIN APPLY.NSCAD.CA / APPLY ONLINE

APPLY.NSCAD.CA is your guide through the application process. By answering a series of quick questions, you can begin your online application and provide us with all the details we’ll need to review your application.

Once you complete the online application as a Visiting student (applications usually take 48 hours to process), you will then be able to proceed through the steps to register for the class or classes you wish to take in the upcoming semesters. Detailed instructions and the dates for registration will be available through the Office of Student Experience.

STEP 2. LETTER OF PERMISSION

You must make arrangements to have a Letter of Permission (which grants you permission to take classes at NSCAD for credit toward your degree) sent by email to the Office of Student and Academic Services at NSCAD from the Registrar's Office at your home institution.

STEP 3. WRITTEN PERMISSION

You must obtain written permission, where required, for the courses you wish to take at NSCAD. Not all courses require a signature, see the list above.

This written permission will come from either the instructor of the course or the Chair of the Division underwhich your class is offered, like Foundation, Fine Art, Design, etc. Course selection form can't be signed in person at this time. Applicants must obtain permission via email; contact admissions@nscad.ca to arrange. You can also see courses offered in the Summer semester Term B here.

STEP 4. REGISTER FOR COURSES

In order to register, you must pay $100 tuition deposit.

Inquiries about registration or course selection should be directed to the Office of Student Experience at ose@nscad.ca. Forms may be emailed to ose@nscad.ca.
